What is CAD/CAM?

CAD stand for Computer aided draughting and design. It enable us to draw polygon, ellipse, multiple parallel lines and multiple parallel curves.Companies uses CAD to produce better design more quickly and cheaply. In CAD we can make changes immediately and print a new drawing in minutes or we can transmit it all over the world using e mail service instantly.CAD enable companies to produce better design that are almost impossible produce manually.

CAD is linked with CAM (computer aided manufacturing ) to produce computerise instructions for computerise machine control.

Example :- lathe,mills,machining centre,welding equipment,automated assemblies.
